A Firm Mattress for Scoliosis.

Hello,
I was searching info about mattresses for scoliosis. I read some of your replies. I wondered, if you can help me to choose what type of mattress is better for my back problem.
I am 43, female, have scoliosis, like to sleep on a hard surface, our old mattresses are bad...my husband put wooden panel on my side of the bed.
What  mattress would you recommend for me: The best quality extra firm mattresses (please, give couple choices with price range)
Thank you,
Mila

Hi Mila,
There aren't very many good choices out there in today's market, as most of the mattresses made today contain memory foam.
Even an extra firm mattress that has memory foam in it, won't keep it shape very long, as it is the memory foam that collapses.
The very best options are the two-sided models that we carry, made by Therapedic. The Keepsake Cameo mattress in firm is likely to be all you'll need.
The Medi-Coil models, on that same page, are designed to hold very heavy people, so your choice, among them, would depend on your size.
An all foam mattress, even one made of high quality latex, won't provide the stiff support you need.
Most innersprings are individually pocketed coils, which also provide contouring support....ok for many, but not for you.
The coils in these Therapedic models are interlocking for more rigid support. The upholstery is the highest density available...and they contain no memory foam.
Here is the link to those mattresses. Delivery is free and there's no sales tax.
