Hi Maureen,

Of all the name brands, Simmons is the best on today's market.

The memory foam that Simmons uses, is more resilient and less temperature sensitive.

I wouldn't call their memory foam "good", but it is no where near as bad as the normal memory foam, used by other brands.

What is an important feature, is the support of the coil system used in Simmons' firmer models.

Another top seller, that wears quickly, are pillow tops. Avoid them.

My wife and I are large people. We have had a Black Beautyrest for the past 4 years. We have a luxury firm, non-pillowtop model. With it, we use the same latex topper that I recommended to you. The topper, itself, is more than 6 years old. Everything is still in like new condition...with the latex topper being responsible for that longevity. As and added bonus, the latex topper is far more comfortable than the memory & poly foams used in pillowtops. 

So, instead of paying for a Kate pillowtops, go with the Ava luxury firm and put the difference in price toward the latex topper. Again, that would be a 2" Soft Talalay latex topper.
