Lowering a Child's Mattress that is too high off the floor.

The mattress and boxspring were delivered today.  I have not been home yet to see them, but my wife says that the mattress is very high, even with the low profile boxspring.  Would you advise using a bunky board or something similar to lower it until our daughter is bigger?

Hi John,
You can, certainly, do that.
I prefer solutions that don't cost anything. You can put the mattress and boxspring directly on the floor...and store your bed frame until she's bigger.
Consider also, that kids love to climb into bed. They love being high up. You can lay pillows on the floor next to the bed while she gets used to her parameters.
