Hello,
I am 25 years old and I have not slept a good nights rest in awhile. I toss and turn all night and wake up in an incredible amount of pain for the first 4 hours of the day. I have been searching online for a good mattress that will help my back pain from my scoliosis. I have a curve in my upper right back going outward, and a curve in my lower left back going inward. I am on a budget some what. I was looking to spend no more than $800. my height is 5'11 and I weigh 135 lbs. Please help if possible and if I emailed the wrong address than I apologize for my trouble. Thank you very much for your time. Chase
Hi Chase,
Do you get relief from the pain caused by your scoliosis by lying on the floor?
Hey Pete,
Tried it last night after my shift and no. The floor made me feel stiffer than normal and much more pain.
Hi Chase,
Good.
Ok, not good for you, but good in that the information provides a direction.
I've known people with scoliosis, where the floor was their only source of relief.
I didn't assume that would be the case for you because of the way yours is shaped.
I suspected that the floor would not help you, but wanted to be sure.
In your case, the support for your spine needs to be firm, but contouring.
Some mattresses provide a more rigid support, while others provide a contouring support.
The Simmons Beautyrest Lumberton provides firm contouring support and is in your price range.
Here is a link to that mattress.
We normally recommend this mattress for children, but with your slender build, it will work for you, as well.
Thanks, Pete
