Temperpedic & Select Comfort mattresses.

I am very interested in what is developing about the most & best mattress world. Particularly this new one called, OCTASPRING" I AM IN THE SPACE TO BUY A NEW MATTRESS.
However, at the various retail stores I have visited, every selection in there is, "the best". That can not be true. And laying on one for three minutes doesn't tell you much. They almost all feel good for such a short time. The two I have focused on are: Temperpedic & Select Comfort.
What can you tell me about this new one? Is it truly the "state of the art" in construction? Has it been out long enough to tell about its comfort? Who sells them in the USA? Like who is a distributor so I can see it?
Sincerely, Tom

Hi Tom,
The highly advertised products are the first thing you think of. Because of the extraordinary expense of all that advertising, salespeople are encouraged to promote it.
Big money is involved with Tempurpedic and Sleep Number....and provide some of the worst values on the market...both with tons of complaints.
If you are looking for "The Best", you won't find it there.
Octaspring is made of memory foam, a gimmicky twist on a bad product.

Here are some blog links about memory foam and Tempurpedic, where you can read the consumer complaints about them.

Since the 1920s, an all natural latex has always been the best of the foam mattresses.
The best of the innersprings changes from year to year. At the moment, the Simmons Black line is the best on the market, using a triple wire coil and more resilient upholstery materials.
Here are links tothose types of products.

The Ava in luxury firm is the best buy.

.

Thanks, Pete
