A California King size mattress measures 72" wide and 84" long. Use it sideways instead and it's 84" wide and 72" long, providing you with more width space...enough sleeping space for everyone, including Fido.
This helpful trick works for anyone under 6 feet tall, who wants more room to roll around in.
This allows you to roll over, instead of having to flip over, when you want to change positions...allowing you to do so and stay more deeply asleep.
