But, can you please tell me what the difference is between the different versions of the Simmons Beautyrest Black series... Ava, Hope and Elizabeth? Also, I don't see the Ansleigh? Is it discontinued? Lastly, how would you compare the Simmons Beautyrest Black series vs the Therapedic two sided mattress in terms of comfort and longevity as well as our preference for minimal motion transfer?

Hello Heidi,
The line changed recently. The Ansleigh was replaced with the Ava.
The beauty of the latex topper is that you can spend less on the mattress and have better and longer lasting comfort than you would get from a higher end model....and often costing less.
My wife and I have the Ansleigh with a 2" soft Talalay latex topper.
The Ava, which replaced it, is what I would recommend for you, as well.

None of the two-sided mattresses use an individually pocketed coil, which is the best unit to get for reducing motion transfer. 

The hills and valleys are the nature of the beast for a king set. Most of is is a result of the two boxsprings running head to foot...with the two stronger edges adding to the firmness up the middle of the bed. 
For the two years we've had ours, we've used the bed sideways...with the boxsprings running side to side. The two stronger edges of the boxspring now support the heaviest parts of our bodies. There is only a slight difference in feel in the center of the mattress with the over all look of the mattress being nice and even.
