Haley 110 futon mattress

Hi Pete,
Lately, I have been having some issues with my back.  I recently stayed with friends and slept on a futon with a Haley 110 mattress which I fund to be quite comfortable.  I have never heard of Haley but they seem to be popular for futons.  What is your opinion of Haley products and do you have something similar from a major brand?
Thanks, Rick

Hi Rick,
I've never heard of them, either.
Futon mattresses, traditionally, are made of cotton wrapped around a polyfoam core.
More expensive ones have innersprings wrapped in cotton. Simmons makes a Beautyrest model with individually pocketed coils, which is quite comfortable.
Initially, they are very comfortable.
The maintenance for cotton is shaking it to fluff it back up when is compresses, and it's not a one man job.
For the most part, the only people sleeping on futons are college students and guests.

Thanks, Pete
