Simmons Beautyrest Hotel Mattress for Large People

My wife has bad hips and a bad back. We need a new queen size mattress. We recently were at a hotel that had a Simmons Beautyrest. What would you suggest to us. We really liked the hotel one. 
I am about 325 weight and my wife is about 230.

Hi Larry,
Hotels don't buy expensive mattresses. The rooms aren't used every night and the mattresses are replaced every few years. At half your weights, that mattress will last 5 years, maybe.
It's an ok mattress, if you're prepared to re-buy every couple of years, or so.
The problem is less about that and more about what happens if you don't. A mattress is one of those "not fun" products to buy, so you keep it longer than you should. 
The result is pain from sleeping on a mattress that needs to be replaced. Extend that, which a lot of people do, and you can do permanent damage...or worsen a pre-existing condition.

Over the last 10 years, or so, mattress quality has declined. The focus is on what sells...what's perceived as comfortable. This shift in focus has created a situation where you're buying new, every couple of years instead of every decade. This situation gets worse, If your heavy or have back and joint problems.
Comfort that lasts is what is missing from today's mattresses. 
Latex foam rubber is and has been the most resilient material available. The trick to getting a mattress that is supportive, comfortable and durable, is to add a 2" layer of soft latex to the top of a mattress that is firm enough to hold you.
