After several mattress mistakes (Sleep Number, store brand version of Kingsdown and others) I am considering either the S&F Graciela or maybe the Simmons Beautyrest Annapolis Place. I've had 2 back surgeries, have a little scoliosis and other related pain. Soft, foam-type mattresses are just too soft. I need something that supports.

Firm support and a comfortable sleeping surface is what you need to provide adequate support with enough cushioning to relieve pressure points and to maintain proper spinal alignment.

The tricky part is in finding a mattress that does this for more than a few months. They all feel good when they're new.
