Adding a Latex topper to a firm mattress

Hi Mollie,
"Foundation" is the generic term for the boxspring. When buying a set, you can choose between a standard height 9" boxspring or a Lo-profile boxspring, which varies between 5 and 5.5 inches high, depending on the brand.
The choice would be based on convenience of height for the user of the mattress.

The mattress that was recommended will feel much like the mattress you asked about.
Concerning the topper, the soft topper is designed to make the top of a firm mattress much more comfortable. The other job that a latex topper does, is extends the life of the mattress.
In your case, where the mattress has the comfort level you like, I would start with the mattress and see if you want to change the feel of it.
If you like the feel of the luxury firm mattress and want a topper to extend the life of that mattress, go with a 1.5" Dunlop. Opt for the Soft Talalay if you want more surface comfort.

Mattress delivery happens within two weeks. The latex toppers take less time to get.
