Sealy Reflexion - Laguna Beach latex mattress

Hi Pete-
We were so thankful to have found you 9 years ago when we needed a new mattress set. With your previous advice, we have enjoyed our Sealy Reflexion - Laguna Beach latex mattress. The latex foam has worked great for us for about the last 8 years. Despite turning our mattress regularly, it has developed uncomfortable body impressions/valleys. We don't suspect it will meet the 1.5 inch requirement for warranty/replacement but it is uncomfortable and making our backs sore. It needs replacement! 
A few questions:
#1 - What is the current comparison to the Laguna Beach model for a replacement to what we have enjoyed for 8 years? 
#2 - Because the problem appears to be with the foam topper breaking down, have you had experience with someone cutting off the foam topper (above the latex core) and putting on a new mattress topper? Might that get us a few more years out of our latex base?
#3 - We recently slept on a hotel tempurpedic-style mattress and had a great night's sleep. Might there be a tempurpedic model with a topper, with similar comfort to our Sealy model, that we should consider?

Well Gee, Thank You Kate,
I couldn't have gotten my mother to write that last part any better.
You're on the right track, but the solution is easier than performing surgery.
A 2" soft latex topper is the key. All you have to do is flip your mattress over and lay the topper on it and you'll be good to go...without having to again deal with the poly foam losing its shape.
Memory foam is both, ineffective and dangerously toxic. There are just too many heartbreaking stories with an array of negative physical side effects from using it.
