Your mattress is upholstered with memory foam, which is a temperature sensitive material that softens as it warms from your body’s heat.
When you cuddle, the heat you produce is greater than when you sleep alone or on your own side.
Your combined heat and weights, while cuddling, causes the memory foam to sag, which is creating the problem you described.
In addition, the heat absorbed my the memory foam is reflected back to you, which reduces your cuddle time, making it too hot to remain in that position.
In addition to that problem, the memory foam used by all of thee name brand mattress manufacturers is chemical based, which leaves you with an unhealthy sleeping environment.
A much better option is a mattress that’s upholstered with pure, organic and hypoallergenic latex foam, which is not temperature sensitive and is chemical free.
