Hello Jack,
Any pillow using shredded material, which allows you to manipulate that material to fit around your head and neck, which allows you to maintain the proper alignment with the rest of your body is the best you can do for some relief.

Of all the commonly used materials… poly, memory & latex foams… latex is the longest lasting.
I have arthritis on one side of my neck. I alternate between two pillows.
Both are made of Talalay Latex, from PureBliss.
When my neck is acting up, I’ll use their shredded latex model.
Once the pain has subsided, I’ll switch to their Classic model in low profile.

Their Classic Talalay Latex Pillow is the softest pillow I’ve found anywhere, from any of the pillow manufacturers at the industry trade shows.
It is so wonderfully soft that it’s my primary pillow.
