Why do memory foam mattresses sleep hot?
Memory foam, made of 61 different chemicals...some of which are highly toxic, is a temperature sensitive material. It's made to react to your body's heat. It's made to soften as it warms and then reflects your body heat back to you.
Memory foam retains your body heat and reflects that heat back to you.
Gel added to memory foam was supposed to mitigate that...and it does...for a while. The gel foams are cooler, initially, but reach a saturation point a few hours into your sleep cycle. So at some point, in the middle of the night, everything heats up again.
There is a memory foam type mattress that doesn't sleep hot.
MemoForm Foam technology was developed in Italy.
Magniflex Mattresses are a cool and chemical free way to enjoy that type of mattress.
