Latex Mattress for Degenerative Disc?

Rob writes:

Hi Pete,

I'm finally narrowing my mattress decision to latex. I have disc degeneration in my neck and back. I am a side/stomach sleeper.

Which one would you recommend?

Many thanks for your time and effort in educating the world about mattresses! Rob

Hi Rob,

Having degenerative discs, you’ll want to avoid any all foam mattress…even all latex. No all foam mattress will provide the pushback support needed to keep your spine properly aligned.

Instead, opt of a mattress that uses an individually pocketed coil system which will be the best for relieving chronic pain.

This type of mattress that’s upholstered with latex will maximize your comfort and the longevity of the mattress.

I recommend the PlushBeds Luxury Bliss Mattress for you.
