Your questions are moot.
A topper is not for support. That’s the job of the mattress.
Your mattress has already failed because it's upholstered with memory foam.
Adding a topper, at this point, is a waste of money.
Had you added a latex topper when the mattress was new, it would have prevented the premature wear.
It’s too late for that now.
You need a new mattress.
