Marriott Hotel Mattress.

Hey, Pete -- big fan!
I'm reaching out with a fairly significant quandary that my girlfriend and I find ourselves in...
I'm an active Marriott member who travels regularly for work and doesn't just love the experience, but the actual sleep itself.
Marriott is offering a $1K discount for mattresses as a year-end benefit.
We're in the market, so it seems like a win-win -- except for the inherent risk that comes with a zero-return policy.
Even with the discount, it's still a pricey roll-of-the-dice in the event we don't like it.
I also have this hunching fear that the mattress won't deliver the same experience that we love when staying at the hotel.
Thoughts?
Daniel
Good Morning Daniel,
You have a mixed bag.
On the one hand, you have a positive experience with the mattresses at that hotel.
There are 2 problems.
Will the mattress you buy from them have the same specifications as the ones you’ve been sleeping on?
If the specifications are the same, the only other problem is only temporary.
A new mattress will take time to loosen up/break in…feeling a bit stiff at first.
Comfort guarantees started when memory foam was introduced.
It’s the kind of hook needed to sell an inferior product.
Comfort guarantees are no guarantee of quality.. .quality that memory foam does not provide.
Comfort guarantees are, for the most part, are a sucker’s bet.
Thanks, Pete
A waterproof mattress protector will extend the life of any mattress, keeping it clean and dry.
