150 and 250 pounds, 5’ 3” and 6’ 6”
Thanks, Sharon
Hi Sharon,
The 250 pounder isn’t as heavy as the number would indicate, being so tall.
Frankly, at 150 lbs., and 13" shorter, you'll both need the same firm support for durability.
Best solution is to get a mattress that provides the firm support you both need and then softening the surface with a separate mattress topper.
A side effect of using a mattress topper is that it will absorb some of your body weight.
In turn, as the years go by, you'll be able to get away with replacing only the topper.
If you get a mattress that is soft enough for you, then you'll have to replace the entire mattress.
This sleep system combination allows you to customize the feel and is cost effective in the long run.
The Wolf Jessica Mattress, which comes in a Luxury Firm, is my recommendation.
The coil system is very strong, offering contouring support for proper spinal alignment.

I recommend waiting until your mattress arrives and you've slept on it a few nights before deciding which mattress topper to buy.
The Magniflex, for just a little extra softness...The Suite Sleep Vita Talalay for the softest available.

Using an old box spring to support any new mattress will cause premature wear and void the manufacturer’s warranty.
A waterproof mattress protector will extend the life of a mattress by keeping the upholstery materials clean and dry.
