A ridge down the middle of our king size mattress.

Hi Pete,

Hoping you can provide some guidance.
Our king size mattress, for the last few months, has had a visible ridge down the middle.
We got it back in May and added a latex topper in September.
We have been rotating the mattress and topper, but since no one sleeps in the middle, it has a ridge.
If you try sleeping in the middle (which is firmer) to  loosen it up, you roll down hill from it.
Is this a warranty issue? I thought it was the topper, but took it off to realize it’s the mattress.
ThanksJohn
Hi John,
I’m afraid not.
It’s the nature of the beast, the nature of any king size mattress.
We quarter turn our king mattress to keep that to a minimum, but still, it can be felt a little.
Try quarter turning yours. Although, it would have been better to have done so from the beginning.
It’s not really a problem, just aesthetically.
You’re still sleeping well on your respective sides. Are you not?
Thanks, Pete
You Should Know
Using an old box spring to support any new mattress will cause premature wear and void the manufacturer’s warranty.
A waterproof mattress protector will extend the life of a mattress by keeping the upholstery materials clean and dry.
