Contrary to all the advertising and salespeople’s hype, memory foam is the worst upholstery material ever invented.
It’s a temperature sensitive material that softens as it warms from your body heat.
It allows you to sink into it, which throws off the natural alignment of the spine.
This spinal misalignment is what’s causing your back pain.
In short, you couldn’t have made a worse choice…except for maybe the Sleep Number air bag mattress, which doesn’t provide the proper support for your spine, either.Thanks, Pete

I’ve had sleep number and that was good, actually, but didn’t want to spend that $$ again.
Gel-terrible hot. Hybrid-hard to move and tough on my pressure points on my shoulders.
I’m 56, 5’0”, 165#. Lower back issues.
