Hi Mel,
There is a fix for that, which will cost you little and maybe nothing.
The memory foam in that mattress is the problem.
Fortunately, it's not all memory foam. The memory foam is only on the top.
The memory foam is supported by high density polyurethane foam.
So, the first thing to do, is flip the mattress over.
The flip side of that mattress will be much firmer...much better for you back, but maybe too firm to sleep on comfortably.
If so, add whatever you have handy to soften it...like a comforter.
If more cushioning is need to make you comfort enough to sleep deeply, then a latex topper is required.
I recommend the Suite Sleep 3" Soft Organic Latex Topper as the best material for that job.
Latex is the antithesis of memory foam...The Best compared to The Worst.
Latex is and has been the best upholstery material for the last 100 years.
Memory foam, on the other hand, has proven to be the absolute worst upholstery material ever invented,
