Chemical Smell from a Sealy Mattress Makes Me Sick.

I aired it out before using it, but it still releases chemicals into the air.

Hi Mark,

Sealy mattresses are upholstered with memory foam.

Memory foam consists of 61 different chemicals, some of which are highly toxic.

Memory foam off gasses those toxic chemicals, which creates a health hazard.

Also, memory foam wears quickly and is specifically designed to cause a mattress to need frequent replacing.

In short, it's a lousy mattress.

Send it back and shop for a mattress with no memory foam in it.

Sealy has been owned by Tempurpedic since 2013. It is no longer a quality product.

What you're experiencing is common with any mattress upholstered with memory foam.

All of the, so called, name brands that you could once trust for quality, have been sold to investors.

All of them are now upholstered with memory foam.

I'm sorry to be the barer of bad news.

None of the mattresses, we sell, have any memory foam in them.
