A Mattress Similar to the Sealy Posturepedic Preferred Series Encourage.

Hi Pete,

I’m hoping you might be able to please point me in the right direction. 
Our mattress is in the home stretch before being put out to pasture. It’s been good to us for many years.  
So, we’re trying to find something as similar as possible to replace it with. 
We currently have a king size Sealy Posturepedic Preferred Series Encourage Ultra Plush Pillow Top.  
Any ideas as to what might be close?

Hi Keith,
If this is the first time you’ve been in the market for a mattress since you bought that one, you’ll be amazed at how completely different things are today.
Sealy was purchased by Tempurpedic in 2013.
Since then, everything has changed.
Both, the coil system and upholstery materials have changed...and not for the better.
The memory foam in today’s mattresses is specifically designed to cause a mattress to need frequent replacing...not to mention sleeping hot or the off gassing of the toxic chemicals used to make memory foam.

We carry an old fashioned two sided mattress that uses the same type of upholstery materials that are in the mattress you have now....NO Memory Foam.
The coil system is good, but different.
The coil system you have now isn’t being made anymore...not even by Sealy.
