Need a New Mattress for the Guest Bedroom.

Hi Pete,

I have company coming for the holidays and need a new mattress for the guest bedroom.
The company that is coming, are my husband's parents, so it has to be comfy.
Unfortunately, I've been out of work for most of the year, so it can't be expensive.
My in-laws are small people, so I'm guessing that will help after having read some of your blog posts.
The guest bedroom has a platform bed, so we need just a mattress.
What do you suggest that won't cost a lot, but be of good quality?
Thanks, Janet

Hi Janet,
I have a couple of good options for you.
Being older and small, I'm guessing they will want something on the plush side.
However, it would be a good thing to check with them about their comfort preference prior to buying.
The best for the least is an old fashioned two side mattress.
This particular mattress is available in plush, firm or duo comfort...plush one side and firm on the other side.
The duo comfort is especially useful in a guest bedroom when you have a variety of people using it.
This allows you to simply flip the mattress to the desired side.
Neither side is too anything....the firm side is not hard and the plush side is not soft.
Here is a link to that mattress:

These next mattresses are a bit higher quality, using latex for the upholstery layers.
The Tulah Plush Eurotop is a bit softer than the Adara Plush.
A number of my family members have these higher quality mattresses.
Still, you'll find the prices to be quite reasonable:

All of these mattress come with free UPS delivery...and there's no sales tax.

Thanks, Pete

VERY IMPORTANT:
Keeping your mattress clean and dry will increase its longevity.
We recommend our Organic Cotton Waterproof Mattress Protector.
