Natura Greenspring, Latex Topper and Waterproof Mattress Protector.

Hello Mattress Expert,
I've studied your website, off and on, for around a month; I’ve been busy in many directions.
Anyway, before I order anything I have a few questions for you which will be easy given your expertise:

1)  My wife weighs around 130 lbs and I weight around 140 lbs.  We have no significant health issues.  
We do like soft, hotel-like, mattresses and most of the ones we have bought lasted well but were too hard.
Is the Natura Greenspring Ultra Plush mattress and foundation at $2,599.99 for king size a good choice for us?

2)  This mattress appears to have a latex topper built in. 
Should we add an additional latex topper and, if so, how thick?

3)  Some of your past discussion mentions a waterproof mattress protector.  
Is this still available, (the link won’t open on my computer) and, if available, how much is it for a king size bed?

4)  How long will it take to get this stuff?

Hi Dean,
We use a Pure Bliss 3” Plush Natural Talalay Latex Topper with that mattress at home.

The combination makes for a mattress that is both, very comfortable and extremely long lasting. 
However, at your sizes, and to match the description of the feel you want, you might consider using a Simmons Beautyrest Platinum Series Gibson Grove in luxury firm mattress to go under that topper.

The Simmons Beautyrest mattresses are not as strong, which will produce a softer feel. 
At your weights, you can expect a good 10 years of supportive, comfortable sleep from that combination.

You’ll need the latex topper for either mattress.
For durability and comfort with the Simmons mattress.
For comfort with the Natura of Canada Greenspring Ultra Plush.

You’re likely to get 2-3 times the lifespan from the Natura/Topper combination over the Simmons/Topper combination. But, the later will be softer.

The Natura factory takes a long Christmas/New Years vacation, so you’re looking at the end of January/early February for delivery.
Simmons won’t take quite so long.
