Stearns and Foster Knightsbridge Pillowtop Mattress Equivalent.

It has lasted us a very long time and am looking for today's equivalent.

Hi Alice,
The Knightsbridge was one of the best mattresses ever made by Stearns and Foster.
In fact, I had one at home, many years ago.
I'm happy to hear that you were able to enjoy yours for so long.

Unfortunately, there is nothing made by Stearns and Foster that is anything like it, today.
In 2013, both Sealy and S&F were purchased by Tempurpedic.
Beginning in January of 2014, all mattresses made with a S&F label, are upholstered with memory foam.
There is no memory foam in the Knightsbridge mattress, you currently own, which is why it has lasted so long.

Memory for is specifically designed to cause a mattress to need frequent replacing.
Memory foam has proven itself to be the absolute worst upholstery material ever invented, over it's short 20 year history.
Not only is memory foam a poor quality material, it's also presents a health hazard...off gassing the toxic chemicals from which it's made.

I'm sorry to be the one to give you this bad news.
We had been a Sealy/S&F retailer for many years. We dropped both line when this occurred.
The good news is that we were able to find high quality replacements for both lines, at the industry trade shows.
