I'm replacing a Latex mattress that I love, only because I want to go from a Queen to King. 
It has held up well over 13 years and shows very little sign of wear. 
It was made by Sealy under the "Reflexion" brand and is an ultra plush tight top. 
At 270 lbs, I'm wondering about durability. 
Should I stick with the latex...or, am I better over the long run to get a firmer innerspring bed and put a latex topper on it?

You've been successful with a latex mattress for quite a while.
Logic would dictate that there's no reason to consider anything else.
Latex is the most durable material on the planet. It has been so for the last 100 years.
It's an exceptional value for those who carry a lot of body weight, as evidenced by how long the one you have has lasted.
You won't get that kind of performance from the average mattress, today...not even close.

Memory foam is used for the express purpose of selling more mattresses more frequently to the same people, as it does not wear well, at all.
