Mattress Too high. Can we do away with the boxspring?

We recently ordered a 2" latex mattress topper and mattress cover through you.

We are very happy with them and comfort it gave our mattress.

The mattress we purchased was a Simmons Black Firm, with a low profile box spring and frame.

Our problem is the whole thing is too high. We are short people and can barely get into the bed.

Could we do away with the box spring?

Hi Val,

I'm happy to hear that you're sleeping comfortably. The latex topper are no less than great.

Something has to support the mattress. If you are going to eliminate anything, eliminate the bed frame.

At home, we eliminated the bed frame and put the boxspring directly on the floor.

There's no better support for you mattress and boxspring, than the floor.
