Simmons Beautyrest World Class Pillowtop Mattress Sleeps Too Hot. Latex Topper Sleeps Cool.

My husband and I bought a Simmons Beautyrest World Class Recharge Pillowtop mattress, about a year ago. 
We have really struggled with it, because it sleeps too hot!  We got a cooling pad, but that was no help.  
Tried some other barriers, but no help. 
Is it possible to put your latex topper on TOP of this?
