Simmons Beautyrest Mattress Warranty Claim.

Hi Mattress Expert,
In February, we purchased a Simmons Beautyrest Firm Queen size mattress.   
It is not firm, as we thought in the showroom.  We feel like it sags in the center in just a short time.   
We have not even been home all of the time.       
I sent the Warranty Card and an email to Simmons, telling them that we were not happy with this mattress in May.  
They just told us to deal with the place where we bought it.
The store policy is not to refund anything.
I wonder what you might suggest that we do?

Hi Peggy,
First off, a refund won't happen, no matter who you turn to.
Secondly, there is a procedure to follow.
Your first call is to the store where you bought it. It's their job to handle the complaint for you and it's for them to deal with the factory.
Only if your retailer is out of business, or if they are unwilling to service you, would you contact the factory directly.

Frankly, you don't have a choice. You must follow the warranty procedure in order to exercise a warranty claim. 
If you prevail in obtaining authorization to exchange, it will be for the same mattress.
If you want a Simmons Beautyrest to wear well, you will have to add a latex topper to it.
Otherwise, you'll be back to where you are now, a few months after the exchange is made.
