Hi Pete,
My wife has MS and we are on our 4th bed shopping experience.
She gets neck and back pains. She is a side sleeper.
We have tried sleep comfort, temperpedic, and a bamboo memory foam.
We are looking at a Sealy memory gel bed. Would you recommend this?
We have an adjustable bed and the salesman told my wife to try to sleep in the zero gravity position at night.
That advice didn't work out well.
Any suggestions?
Thanks, Bruce
Hi Bruce,
Today's salespeople are poorly trained.
Their training is in how to close a sales...and sounding like you know what you're talking about.
You've been getting bad advice, which has caused you to make the same mistake over and over again. And, you're considering yet another mistake.
Your continual mistake is in accepting the BS about memory foam being so great.
It is, in fact, the worst upholstery material ever invented...and the thing that is continually causing your wife's pain to return.
An expensive mistake was the adjustable bed frame, which has very little therapeutic value.
Very little value for most...zero for a side sleeper.
Your wife needs to sleep with that adjustable bed in the flat position.
The only upholstery that will relieve the pain from MS is soft all natural latex.
Memory foam is temperature sensitive and allows her to sink as it warms from her body heat.
She then will hit the harder foams that support it.
ONLY Pure All Natural Latex will provide that zero gravity feel.
Soft Latex will cushion her and not allow her to sink. Instead, she will feel like she's floating.
Here is a link to the mattress you should buy.
The EverEden latex is the purest, best latex available...anywhere on the planet.
Order the 9" model with a Medium Dunlop Latex core and a Soft Talalay Latex top layer.
ALSO IMPORTANT:
I suggest using a waterproof mattress protector with every mattress.
Keeping your mattress clean and dry will greatly extend the life and loft of the upholstery materials inside. Ours sleep cool and make NO Noise.
