Hi Pete, 
We have to replace a tempurpedic mattress and narrowed our search at the store today to a Simmons Beautyrest Black Desiree Luxury Firm pillow top in king size.   
Now that I've read your comments on your site about pillowtops I'm questioning that possible selection. 
The sales person said that because of the tight ticking it does not have as much trouble with depressions. 
I am 5'4" 118 lbs and sleep on my side. My husband is 6'4" 195 lbs and prefers to sleep on his back. 
When he snores I try to get him on his left side (only no snore position) but that bothers his left shoulder. Any suggestions or alternative? 
I really do not want another tempurpedic.......
We also have an old Aireloom Rip Van Winkle firm support Queen size in a guest room so rarely used. That used to be our favorite brand until the quality changed. 
I still find that bed very comfortable. It seems like the quality of mattresses as a whole, isn't what it used to be.
