Replacing a Sleep to Live Mattress from 2005.

Lawson writes:

Hi Pete,
I have owned a sleep to live high end mattress for since 2005, and am now looking to replace it.

I was pretty satisfied with the mattress so I called the same store where I bought it
The sales guy suggested a sleep to live series 600 blue or red.
After doing some research I ran across some of your responses to people that seem to be very unhappy purchasing the same mattress.
I’m 55 years old, 235 lbs and 6.1. I had a lower back fusion 6 years ago. What would you recommend I purchase?
Thanks,
Lawson

Hi Lawson,
I'm surprised to hear that a large man would happy with a Kingsdown Sleep to Live mattress for so long.
The odds are well against that happening.
Then again, in 2005, memory foam wasn't widely used.
Yours may have little to no memory foam, which would account for the longevity.

The key to a successful long term mattress purchase, is the quality of the components used to make the mattress.
The best mattress that we've home tested is the Natura of Canada Greenspring...the mattress we have at home, now.
There are 5 models in that line. These mattresses provide excellent support and longevity, with the Plush EuroTop model being the most comfortable of them.
Here is a link to those mattresses.
