Replacing a 30 Year Old Simmons Anniversary Beautyrest Mattress.

Hi Pete,
I have a full-size, innerspring mattress that I purchased back in 1981 or 1982--a Simmons Beautyrest Anniversary model that I believe was described by the salesman as “medium-firm”.
I need to replace it.  I’m looking for something similar, which in this case is just a simple, basic, fabric-encapsulated mattress without all the memory foam and gel memory foam that seems to pervade the bedding market these days.  I believe they call this type of mattress a tight top.
Does anybody—Simmons or any other company—make the type I’m describing anymore?  Incidentally, I’m a side sleeper, so I’d need a mattress that is designed with this in mind.
Any info you could pass along would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Matt,
That was a very nice, basic, reasonably priced, two sided mattress.
They sold like hot cakes. Came in a gold colored fabric, if I recall correctly, with the word "Anniversary" all over it.
Mom and dad had one, which they purchased at about the same time. They used it for many years.

At that time, my oldest was just a year old and I was getting my start in the mattress business.
For you, It'll be like stepping out of a time warp.

The Simmons Beautyrest uses an individually pocketed coil unit, which is why it's so comfortable, especially for a side sleeper. 
THAT, has remained the same. Everything else has changed.
Mattresses went one-sided, about 15 years ago...and, there's memory foam in almost everything.
And while you can't buy a mattress exactly like that today, there is a way to get long lasting comfort and good value.

I have two options for you. You'll enjoy both of them.
The first is the more reasonably priced of the two...a simple design, much like what you have now....shrink wrapped, rolled, boxed and delivered via FedEx.
