Jamison Foam Mattress at the Marriott Hotel.

Hi Pete,
I stayed at Springhill Suites Hotel by Marriott. And when I asked them about the mattress we slept on, they said it was a Jamison foam bed.
It was very comfy and seemed very new.
What information and/or recommendation can you give?
Thanks, Maria

Hi Maria,
The mattress that the Marriott is now buying from Jamison, is a poly foam mattress. When new, they are very comfortable. However, they aren't terribly long lasting.
Hotel rooms are filled on a rotating basis and used 3 nights a week, maybe.
The foam has a chance to recover and will last a hotel considerably longer than it will in a master bedroom that's used every night.

If you are considering spending the big bucks for it, purchased through the hotel. That money would be better spent on an all latex mattress.
Unlike the petro-chemical based poly foam, latex is an all natural product, made from the sap of the rubber tree.
There's nothing new about it, as it has been the best you can buy since the 1920s. Poly foam made the mattress scene in the early 1970s.
Unlike poly foam, which wears out quickly...within a few years only, good quality latex lasts for 20 years or more.
Here is a link to the latex mattress I think you'll like best. It's the EverEden 9" All Natural, All Latex model.
