Hi Amy,
Neither of those mattresses will hold up under you, let alone him.
Those mattresses are comprised of the lowest quality materials available....and are designed to need frequent replacing under average body weight.
The highest quality upholstery material is latex...and has been for the last 100 years.
The memory foam in those Serta mattresses, is the worst upholstery material ever invented....and has proven itself so over its 20 year history.
No only is it a lousy product in terms of performance, it off gasses the toxic chemicals from which it's made...making it a health hazard. Did I mention that memory foam sleeps hot?
Latex is all natural with no chemicals...no off gassing and it sleeps cool.
There are two mattresses I'd like to recommend.
The 1st is made of all latex. There are 3 models in the EverEden line. I suggest the 9" model. Order that with a firm 6" Dunlop core and a medium Talalay 3" top.
