Simmons Beautyrest Recharge Classic and Black Desiree Mattresses and EverEden Latex Toppers

Hi Pete,
About 7 years ago we purchased 2 full size Sealy Posturepedic Reserve Concierge Club Plush (level 9) mattress and box spring sets from you for our twin daughters based on your recommendations.  They are holding up very well and the girls (now 10) seem to be sleeping comfortably on them.  
We are now in the market for a full size mattress and box spring set for our 3 year old daughter.  
Since the Sealy's have changed so drastically we see that you are now recommending the Simmons Beautyrest Recharge Classic model as the best one for kids.  
After reading on your website at length we have decided to go with your recommendation again and get that Beautyrest Classic set.  
I was just curious how the Sealy's that we purchased previously and the compare.  
I also wondered at what age you would recommend beginning to use the latex Talalay topper.  
Our girls are not great sleepers, and one of them was diagnosed with poor sleep architecture after having a sleep study.
So, I just wondered if the latex toppers would help or if they're really still too young at 6 and 3 to use them.  
Next, we are considering replacing a 17 year old mattress and box spring for our son who weighs about 265 lbs.
He had back surgery about a year ago for a slipped disc and pinched nerve.  
What would you recommend for him, and would you recommend a latex topper with his back issues?   
Lastly, my husband and I are looking to purchase a new mattress and box spring set for ourselves.
We are considering the Simmons Beautyrest Black Desiree model, but are debating between the Plush and the Luxury Firm.  
The only difference I can see between the 2 in the specs is in the coil wire gauge. 
I understand that the lower the gauge, the stronger the coil wire, so I would think that the Luxury Firm has a stronger coil wire than the Plush.
My husband weighs about 185 lbs. and is an all over the place hot sleeper, I am about 160 lbs. and am a side and back sleeper with back, hip and leg pain.  
We are also considering the latex Talalay topper for ourselves.  
Your website has been tremendously helpful in the daunting task of finding the perfect mattresses for our family, so we thank you for that and for answering our endless questions and educating us through your expertise.

Good to see you back.
For your daughter's, I would normally recommend adding a latex topper to their mattresses when they start to develop a more womanly shape.
The latex toppers relieve a great deal of the pressure at the hip...which is the sore spot for many females.
However, if there is a sleeping problem, the latex topper provides a great deal of surface comfort, so you might as well get it now.
The extra comfort will, surly, help with her sleeping. The one to get is the EverEden 2" Soft Talalay Latex Topper...shown here:

Simmons has just changed much of their mattresses. The Classic is now the Silver - Level 1.
The model name is Great Lakes Cove in Luxury Firm....to which you will add a latex topper when she's older.

For yourselves, you can't go wrong with the Simmons Black Desiree and a latex topper.
