Good afternoon Pete.
I am a side sleeper and have a problem with pressure point pain at the shoulder and hip.
A friend suggested a Simmons Beautyrest Recharge plush pillow top. Is this the same as your Broadway?
Would this be a good choice for me? I notice you seem to recommend against the pillow tops and suggest buying a firm and getting a latex topper.
Would that be recommended for the Broadway too?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Best wishes, Phil.
A Simmons plush pillowtop will initially have lots of surface comfort, but will lose its shape and comfort quickly, returning you to where you are now...all within a matter of months.
The plush models use a very thin gauge wire for the coils and the pillowtops are the the first to go...being filled with poly and memory foams....providing pressure point relief for only a very short time.
The Luxury firm models use a heavier gauge wire for better and more durable support. The best upholstery material for relieving pressure points, is soft latex.
Soft All Natural Latex provides a feeling of suspension. It holds you up, relieves pressure points and relaxes your entire muscular system.
Along with allowing for greater ease of blood flow, it's the best and only way to achieve the surface feel you need that will last for many years.
