Hi Pete,
I've had and loved my queen size Sealy Springfree Trade Wind Resort mattress for about 8 years now, but my new husband and I are looking to upgrade to a king size.
The only problem I found with my TWR mattress is that, after eight years, it has definitely formed a permanent dent in the center where I used to sleep on it alone.
Since this mattress isn't available anymore and I'm trying to avoid the perils of memory foam, what would you recommend as an equivalent?
I'm 260 lbs, a side sleeper (or what someone once called a "Captain Morgan sleeper"), and tend to overheat quickly when sleeping.

I read your other blogs on other Sealy Springfree mattresses, which were very helpful, but I don't know how those other Sealy mattresses compare to the TWR.
Also, I'm willing to go a TINY BIT firmer for my husband's back's sake, but I definitely need cushioning for my hips.
Thanks so much!
Emily
Hi Emily,
Sealy and S&F were bought by Tempurepedic in 2013...and they've added memory foam to everything they make...including their latex mattresses.
Your mattress consists of a synthetic latex core and it's topped with polyurethane foam.
It's, likely, the poly foam that has indented...although the synthetic latex is not as resilient as all natural latex.
Not to be confused with "Natural" latex, which is a euphemism for blended latex...a blend of 30% natural and 70% synthetic latex.
Most brands are using blended latex, but 100% all natural is the most durable.
The mattress I recommend to you is made by EverEden. It's 100% all natural...no synthetics, no fillers, no chemicals...just pure latex, which has been the best for the last 100 years.
Ever-Eden's 9" model is the most popular...using a 6" Vytex Dunlop Latex core for support and 3" of Talalay Latex top for surface comfort.
If you want something more firm than what you have, opt for both layers in Medium. For something more like what you have in feel, opt for the Dunlop in medium and the Talalay in soft.
Here is a link to those mattresses for you to view. If you wish, you can order online.
