You need to join me in a reality check.
Having a 24 years old Beautyrest puts you in the position of stepping out of a time warp.
Nothing today, is as it was then....and the changes have not been for the better.
A brief look around will tell you that most of our industries have abandoned quality for profit.
The mattress industry is no less greedy or corrupt than any other of segment of the American industrial complex.
In short, forget what your "insisting upon", as it no longer exists.
The thing that makes a Beautyrest a mattress that you've loved for so long, is that the coil system consists of individually pocketed coils.
These are pre-compressed coils with each moving independently from the others.
The independent suspension type of support that it provides, maintains the natural alignment of your spine.
What made it last so long is that it was two sided and it contains no memory foam.
(Most of today's mattresses...especially the name brands, are one sided and using memory foam...specifically designed to need frequent replacing)
Memory foam, even after it loses it's resiliency and comfort, will always return to its original shape when you get off of it.
This, diabolical feature insures that you will almost never prevail in a warranty claim. This makes shopping for a mattress, based on the length of warranty, a fools errand...so to speak.
Almost all of today's mattresses will work with an adjustable bed base.
The thing that prevented that in the past, was the heavy border wire that went around the perimeter of the mattress at the top and bottom.
For most mattresses, today, that border wire no longer exists...the same thing that allows a mattress to be rolled and boxed.
Wolf's two-sided mattresses uses a very strong, interlocked coil unit...not at all what you've been used to for the last quarter century.
Whenever we recommend a Simmons Beautyrest, we also recommend a latex topper to go with it.
The latex topper insulates you from the memory foam in the mattress, gives the surface long lasting comfort, and greatly extends the life of the mattress, far beyond the short life intended by the manufacturer.
