Ever Eden Soft Talalay Latex Topper to Relieve Shoulder Pain on a Tempurpedic Mattress.

Hi Pete,
I used to suffer from low back issues related to a bulging disk. Over the years stretching has helped eliminate these issues. 
About 3 years ago my wife (5'2" 116 lbs) and I (5'10" 174 lbs) upgraded from traditional firm mattress to a Tempurpedic memory foam mattress to help with a more restful sleep. Both of us are side sleepers. 
About 6 months into it, I started to develop sore aching shoulders. I have tried therapy and massage and slowly the pain is getting worse. Is it possible the mattress is the issue? 
I have read some suggestions to flip the mattress, which we were told not to, and add a latex topper. Why is this any better? What's the mechanics involved here that might be causing shoulder pain? 


Any dialog on this topic would be appreciated.

Hi Jim,
What Tempurpedic is selling is an illusion. Their ads told you that their mattresses would provide that which you are no longer getting. 
Theirs ads would have you believe that their memory foam is the best thing since sliced bread. Their ads work. You bought it. What doesn't work, is memory foam. 
In fact, it's the worst thing ever invented for use in or as a mattress....something you are finding out the hard way.
Many people get suckered in to buying that junk, so you're not alone in this.
And, since its such expensive junk, the best way to extend the use of that mattress is to flip it over and add a soft layer of latex to the firmer underside....something that has worked for many.
Chemical laden memory foam is temperature sensitive. It softens as it warms from your body heat. You then sink through it to the firm poly foam that supports it, which is what is causing you pain.
Latex is the antithesis of memory foam...doing everything that Tempurpedic claims memory foam will do, but doesn't.
Latex is all natural and chemical free. It holds you up...suspending you in a zero gravity feel that relieves all the pressure points and remains like new for many years.
There's nothing new here. Latex has been the best material available since the 1920s.
