At the time, you had recommended the S/F Heidi Lux Plush but I see on one of your suggestions to a person that the Cameo would not sag as fast as Heidi so now I am confused....is the most important thing to look for is a 14 gauge coil ?

Hi Linda,

The problem with your mattress MAY be the coils, but that would be rare. It's most likely the pillowtop, as is usually the case. The memory foam in the pillowtops lose their comfort and collapse easily, only to return when you get off of the mattress. This, is the diabolical part about memory foam, as you will not likely prevail in a warranty claim.

The recommendation for the Heidi would have been in tandem with a 2" soft latex topper, which retards the wear of the mattress.

However, in the years since you wrote last, S&F is now owned by Tempurpedic, who added lots of memory foam to each S&F model. The Heidi had no memory foam in it.

The Cameo two sided mattress is a far superior product. It provides firm support that remains that way over many years. It doesn't sag and has no memory foam.

With that mattress, you'll use a 2" or 3" soft Talalay Latex topper for surface comfort that also doesn't sag and also lasts for many years.
