Mattress, Latex Topper & Pillow Advice.

My husband and I are of average weight and height. In the past five years we have purchased two Serta mattresses from our local Macy's.  Both lasted only 2 - 2.5 years. Macy's is in the process of replacing our second mattress  (king size). We are considering the Simmons Beautyrest Recharge World Class Teagan Luxury Firm. What are your thoughts on this mattress?  We both have some low back and  hip pain issues. Which of your 2" latex toppers would you recommended to help with our hip and back issues?  What latex pillow would you recommended for us? Our bed frame is low profile. We use bunkie boards on top of the slats for support  - rather than a box spring. What do you recommend for mattress support on a low profile bed?
I gave my sister our queen size Simmons White Bay Visco Plush Firm mattress -which I loved (purchased around 2008). She has back pain / siatic nerve pain from issues with bulging disks. She thinks the mattress is just too firm. What latex Topper would you recommend for her?

Hi Joann,
With both, yours and the one you gave to your sister, use a 2" soft talalay latex topper.
You'll find that the comfort it provides is extraordinary...and it lasts for many years.
My wife and I are heavy people, using that same topper on our Beautyrest. The topper is 6 years old, the mattress is 4 years old and both are in like new condition.



Latex pillows are the longest lasting.
I have them in soft medium and firm.
The medium one consists of finely chopped latex, which allows you to manipulate it more easily and mold it around your head and neck as you like. This one is particularly good for relieving chronic neck pain.
I use both, the soft Talalay and the medium latex down...alternating as needed.
