Sealy Posturepedic Signature Series Plush Mattress.

Hi Pete,
In 2008 we bought a Sealy Posturepedic Signature Series plush mattress. At the time, I believe they had 4 models in that line, with various degrees of firmness, etc.  We bought the 2nd of 4.
Sorry, long time ago.  It seems the signature line isn't available anymore. Looking  for something comparable.  Thanks, Frank

Hi Frank,
You are correct. The Signature Series is long gone. However, the general construction of a Posturepedic is relatively unchanged since then.
The line changed dramatically in June of 2011...and not for the better. Sealy's "Titanium Coils" was introduced and the coil count went from 782 in queen, (the number of coils in your Signature mattress), to 550. The hype was that the coils are now made of titanium. Turns out that the coils are still made of steel, with an approx. 10% titanium alloy.
You have to admit that titanium sounds great,,,until you understand that titanium is only stronger than steel when exposed to high heat. In other words, it amounted to so much BS and little more.
Since then, the coil count in the Posturepedics has rebounded to 704.
So, to answer your question, what you'll look for now is a Level E Posturepedic...with the model names being different at just about every store you walk into.
We carry that as the Joyce Street model. It runs $1099 in queen and $1399 in king. Those are "set" prices and include delivery and sales tax.
If you'd like to order one from me, just give me a call. Delivery of a freshly made mattress takes about 2 weeks.

Thanks, Pete
