Back Pain, Mattress and Adjustable bed to hold a Large Man with Sleep Apnea .

I’m looking Full or Queen size mattress that will support a 6’1” 450 pound man with sleep apnea and lower back issues, and that will work with an adjustable base? Does such a thing exist or am I looking for a mattress of the unicorn variety? Thanks, Chris

Good one, Chris.
Actually, what you need does exist, but a bit differently made than what you've been looking at.
The standard adjustable beds that you see everywhere will work for sleep apnea, but will aggravate the lower back pain.
Also, when the head is lifted, the body weight shifts to the center, putting a greater strain on the mattress under the butt...causing that spot in the mattress to show wear quickly...even under average weight.
There is an adjustable bed base that simply tilts...raising the head, but keeping the body straight.
This type of base is perfect for both of your issues, allowing you to use the two-side Medi-Coil with it...which happens to be the only mattress that is especially made to hold that amount of weight.
Here is a link to that bed. I've seen them at the trade shows and their quality is impressive.

And a link to the medi-coil mattress. Together, they are everything you need and want, with the quality and longevity you're looking for.
