Latex Bliss Nutrition Mattress for an Adjustable Bed.

Hi Pete,
We found the Simmons Ava luxury firm & the plush models to try.  We both like the plush much better. Do you suppose it would be too soft & too light of springs for me?  My wife would go with with the plush as the other is too firm for her liking.  Out of the Simmons & Pure Latex Bliss latex mattresses, which will last the longest and hold up on the adjustable base (my wife sleeps completely sitting up)?  Thanks so much for what you do!  Jim

Hi Jim,
The Ava in the luxury firm is a great mattress. I have yet to see a Simmons product in "plush" not end up in a warranty claim. For that reason, I list none of Simmons' plush models on my website.
For use on an adjustable bed base, especially used the way your wife uses it, most of her body weight will be supported by just one spot in the mattress...as opposed to having your body weight spread out when sleeping in a prone position....the mattress will wear first in the spot just under her butt. In other words, a decent size dent will appear in that spot.
For that reason, if for no other, it will be important for the mattress to be especially resilient.
Clearly, this is a job for a latex foam mattress...the most resilient material on the planet.
Here is a link to the Pure LatexBLISS line of mattresses. I'm sure the Mrs. will want the softest, but I would encourage restraint...opting for something comfy without over doing it. The "Nutrition" model strikes me as your best choice for her comfort and durability.
