Westin Heavenly Bed Hotel Mattress by Simmons Beautyrest.

Hello,
I saw your name while doing a google search. I travel a lot for business and love the Westin Heavenly Bed. I now need a new mattress at home. 

A mattress store has the Simmons Beautyrest Legend Super Plush mattress. 

The sample mattress in the store was "on sale" for $3,500. On the Westin website, their heavenly bed sells for about $1,400 (also "on sale").
Do you know the difference between the two? I saw on a website that you compared the Heavenly Bed to the Simmons Beautyrest Classic Pillow top.

Hi Chuck,

Buying a mattress directly from a hotel, is much more expensive than buying the same mattress from a retailer...just to give you a better perspective as to the differences between the Legend and what you're looking for. In short, they aren't even close.

To know this for yourself, get the specifications of both mattresses and compare them.

Before we go further, you have to stop looking for a plush Beautyrest. What makes them "plush" is a much thinner gauge wire coil...creating a greater depth of softness.

These mattresses are among the most complained about mattresses in the industry and will end up in a warranty claim, where you are not likely to prevail.

They are such a consistent problem, that I did not include their "plush" models on my website.

Pillowtops are another issue. They provide initial comfort, but it doesn't last. Pillowtops develop body impressions easily.

The Westin mattress is a Classic Beautyrest...comfortable, but not very long lasting in a master bedroom where it needs to support the weight of adults, night after night.

Hotel rooms are occupied on a rotating basis. Unless there's a convention in town, hotel rooms are filled approx 3 days a week. This allows hotels to spend less on a Classic model.

Routinely, a good hotel, like the Westin, will replace their mattresses every few years or so.

For use in a master bedroom, you'll want a longer lifespan.
