All-Natural Latex Foam Mattress for a Child.

Hi Pete,
We are interested in a safe mattress for our child. I've read on your blog and from other sources on line that memory foam is toxic.
I've also read that polyurethane foam is a petro-chemical soup. I don't want any of that for our children. (one is still an infant...one is now ready for her big girl bed)

Hi Alex,
As time goes by, fewer and fewer name brand mattress are suitable for a healthy night's sleep....for anyone...not just children.
And, as their high end model become more and more expensive, an all-natural latex mattress becomes a more attractive alternative.
All natural latex foam has always been the best you can buy. of that, there is no dispute.
The price for all latex foam can be quite high, depending on what you're looking at.
However, if you keep it basic, you'd be surprised at how little these high quality mattresses can be....especially for the needs of a child.
A growing body requires reasonably firm, contouring support to maintain the spine's natural alignment. Latex provides this support and does so without wearing out.
A basic all-natural, chemical free Dunlop latex mattress will do the job just fine....and, you don't need much.
A 6" thick Dunlop latex mattress is all you need....and, it's not all that expensive.
