Looking for a soft Simmons Beautyrest mattress

About 1 1/2 years ago I purchased a Sealy memory foam mattress which I absolutely hate. It sleeps way too hot and I feel sore by morning. I would like to purchase a new mattress and my preference is something soft in the Simmons brand. What would you recommend for a soft Simmons Beautyrest mattress? Jane




Hi Jane,
"Soft" means frequent replacement. Are you prepared to re-purchase a new mattress every year?
That's what will happen if you go for soft.
The only "soft" material you can buy that won't need continual replacement, is latex. If all that is wrong with your mattress, is that it's too firm, 2" of soft latex will make a dramatic change in the surface feel of any mattress that is too firm. Latex is also extremely resilient and lasts for many years.

I'm sure you're familiar with the saying, "Be careful what you wish for"...".
Not only does a soft mattress wear out quickly, but will allow your body to sink too far, causing spinal mis-alignment that becomes painful. Used long enough, and you end up with permanent damage to the discs in your back.

Buying what you asked for is easy. Walk into any mattress store and you'll find a plethora of soft mattresses...and, salespeople who will be all too happy to tell you what you want to hear.
For many, it's ALL about making the sale.
